I'm doubtful we'll have much of a leaf peeping season this year. A lot of the area was effected by a severe drought and an "upstate NY" unusually "hot" summer. Seems what leaves still remain on the tress are going from a wilted green/yellow to dark burnt red/brown with little other variations. Figures, I had a couple locations all planed out in the coming two weeks. We'll see...
The linear reflection on the water in this image (made a couple weeks ago) was created in camera thanks to variable wind. The isolated light breeze off shore allowed for this effect. It's really interesting to watch the way wind plays on the water surface. Sit there watching it long enough and it seemed like the wind and water were alive and dancing together.
