Got out for the first time this year on May 8, 2017. There was severe thunderstorms predicted along the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the forecast panned out. Big time. Unfortunately a hailstorm that wrecked havoc with 2 - 2.5 inch hailballs devastated the west side of the Denver Metro area. The above picture was that cell, just as it was approaching the Denver International Airport. I wonder what the folks on the left side of the airplane were thinking?
