Halloween and cereal; two of every kids favorite things as they both revolve around sugar!
I have been collecting flexi records for a while and decided it was time to share my Halloween stash! Some of these come from when I cut them off of the cereal box; but unfortunately I wasn't allowed sweetened cereal as a kid so most of these were acquired over the years since.

We'll start with Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Frankenberry cereals. These came out in 1979 in the mentioned cereal boxes. There were 3 and you were encouraged to collect them all. Since they were inside the box in a shrinkwrapped sleeve, you didn't know which one you were going to get, encouraging you to purchase more of the cereal to complete your collection! I have two of these. You can hear them on YouTube:
Count Chocula goes to Hollywood
Monsters Go Disco
Adventures in Outer Space
Next is the Honeycomb cereal collection. These were my favorites. There were three sets of these, they were cardboard and were on the actual box. Since they were stamped you could tell which one you were getting, although I remember having to search different stores to collect them all.
Haunted House and others came out in 1975.
Ghost Stories series of 3 came out in 1977.
Spooky Stories series of 3 came out in 1978.
Finally, the Ghostbusters movie had their own cereal (which I don't remember) and in 1989 they came out with a contest giveaway flexi record. This was not a picture record rather just a plain black soundsheet.
I'll post some more Halloween flexi records from my collection soon...
