Selected crystals from the Dia De Los Muertos crystal pocket, Devil's Head district in Colorado! Read more about it on [my blog](davealex.com). First off, my daughter was super sick and so I asked her to build me a Dia De Los Muertos style skull with the crystals I found in the hopes of art making her feel a little better. A little while later this is what she showed me! Awesome! And it worked, she started feeling better immediately! For reference, the table is 3.5 feet in diameter...
Next up is La Nariz, the double-terminated, healed crystal cluster with phantom inclusions I found near the center of the pocket! Will head back in the spring to look for the host Microcline plate this came off of...hopefully can find it!
Many of the larger crystals that were plucked from the ground, no more than 18" deep and the pocket was less than 10 feet long!
Many smoky quartz crystals had phantom inclusions showing multiple periods of growth.
These multiple growth periods were also demonstrated by the healed/double terminations on many of the smoky quartz crystals from the pocket!
