My life is a collage.
To make collages is one of my passions. I take pictures, I cut them, and I play with them until creating a harmony that I like. Sometimes I think they come to life and find their place in the composition by themselves. My collage takes shape and is transformed in the course of my experiences. With each creation I reveal my soul a little, I indulge in the difficult task of discovering myself, and being unveiled by the eyes of others. Each time I go to an inner journey.
Gouzy is a French visual artist who creates surrealist compositions. Created using an "objective hazard" strategy, Gouzy's collages feature painstakingly cut-out female body parts on brightly coloured backgrounds, enhanced by all sorts of day-to-day ojects: glasses, guns, masks, high-heels, hub caps, cameras... Animality, eroticism, and derision are at the heart of these works
With this work Gouzy offers a grotesque vision of reality, to see more clearly in this human comedy."
Lori Remmel (@loriremmel)
Through my work in paint, collage, and photography, I'm able to explore narrative both within myself and the world around me. I embrace the intuitive, hands-on nature of art making, and through my work in several mediums I've discovered that the constant element in my work is my love for re-purposing ephemera and discard. I'm fascinated by the transitory nature, spontaneous beauty, and history inherent to these scraps. By handling the same materials that others have touched in a new capacity, my ideas become part of their story.

I found a language where I can express how I think and what I feel, despite the cliches, not having the need to utter sounds, use commas and be consistent with the words that come out of my mouth. Thank you, Internet.
