Just over 3 years ago, this Mum craved an out. She wanted out of her 9-5 job. She wanted to be at home with this babe. She wanted to be creative. She shared this pic introducing herself to her new followers on Instagram in her tiny suburban backyard where she had a corner to work from in the spare room and a 6 month old at her feet. She'd started posting pics to an audience of zero with her ideas for wares suited to nurseries and kids rooms. People soon joined her and started supporting. With 400 followers she opened her online store on July 2, 2014. Three years ago today. Within ten weeks the support from the Instagram community had grown so much that she was able to leave her management role, her 9-5 gig. She now had her own brand. Fast forward 3 years, 109k supporters on Instagram and she has a brand she is proud of. One that supports her family and one that's taken her to her dream location in the Noosa Hinterland. The most important bit - a brand that has created #afeatherforbrad supporting a family financially, affected by brain cancer, for the past 3 years. A brand who supports the fight against brain cancer by donating to @curebraincancer. This journey feels like it's just begun. I have so much more in me. To create and to give. For the journey so far, thank you.
