Who: Seis & Buoy
Where: Chicago, IL
For those who like: Modern hip-hop blended with electronic-pop.
High Rule contacted me about their latest song, Lowkey. Already a fan (and I have featured on Ello twice before) I felt an array of good feelings messaging with them and much gratitude asking them a question I haven't seen on other blogs, but we'll get to that later.
Lowkey is one to grab you from the beginning with echoing uh and oh's. There's a wide mix of sounds that bring this together. The snap of fingers and lovely horns throughout not to mention the hook "Shh...I want you lowkey". The interlude at 2:57 is soft and slow.
What's even more impressive - they produce, flow, and sing their own songs. Bravo, HR!
Premiered on: Sunset in the Rearview

The question: Say you are sent to Mars for one year, alone, and you may only bring one music album. Which one would you choose?
"Seis would choose "The Marshall Mathers LP" by Eminem. Buoy would take Daft Punk's "Discovery". They are both albums that inspired our respective musical journeys."
