It's taken me a long time to work out what it is that I like, so, from that, what it is that I do. I started trying to photograph gigs. But things like my height and lack of mobility limited me. I didn't mind that. What I did mind was that I didn't like the photos. What I came to realise was that I didn't like the spaces between musicians on a stage. What I like are the musicians in their moment doing their thing. So now I photograph musicians, not gigs. It's local gigs, small gigs, so 99.9% of them you won't know and will never hear of. But they're doing what they love for the love of it.
