In her personal work, cuteness and cruelty fade into one another, inspired by brutal yet childish world of fairytales, tattoo art and classic pin-up girls.
STATEMENT: My illustrations are focused on women and they emphasize a great difference between expectation and reality regarding femininity. I visualize this difference as a contrast of charm and macabre, dream and reality, strength and weakness, vitality and death. In my work delicate lines and cute shades of powder pink are clashed with skulls, bones and decay. I anesthetize ugliness in order to create a bit sweet and a bit scary image of womanhood.
