The Tokyo International Forum, designed by Raphael Vinoly, is my favourite building in Tokyo. It's been a friend now for almost 20 years and I visit pretty much every week. One of the things I love about it is the empty space. Growing up in Canterbury, England, I spent a lot of time in the city's gothic cathedral. The booming, empty acoustic of Canterbury Cathedral is something that my ears like and a space and sound that's very hard to find here in Japan. The Forum has it.
This frame was shot recently with the Hasselblad H6D-100c and 24mm super-wide lens. I don't shoot the H6D every day. My daily shooter Hasselblad is the H4D-40. The H6 is far better at high-ISO. This was shot at 3200ISO, handheld.
