Meet Leo Villareal A light sculptor based in NY whose creative vision would be changed forever after attending Burning Man. Building a 16-strobe light beacon of his own design to aid in avoiding getting lost in the vast landscape of the festival he realized what a powerful combination that software and light are.
Afterwards, back in NY he began to make his first gallery-worthy light sculpture called 'Strobe Matrix'. It was from here that he spent the next ten years broadening the scope of his work with increasingly larger, more technically complicated architectural installations.
The projects you see here are titled 'Multiverse' and 'Cylinder'. Further exploration is recommended to check out other projects of his of note such as the lighting of the Bay Bridge in SF.
