All of my art heroes are painters. Paul Klee, Joan Miro & Anselm Kiefer still float my boat. I look for the most abused & worn materials I can find from rusted industrial parts to smashed pine cones. I attach them to rough surfaces like wood & burlap. Composition is paramount to the creative process. The last thing I do is paint around my found objects. They retain their beaten & battered glory while existing on the exalted plane of fine art via the familiar painting rectangle. By choosing the most worthless things I can find, I'm asking the viewer to reconsider what's beautiful & valuable. There really is no junk. There are no insignificant moments.

Biography
Adrian dos Delima (Porto Alegre, Brazil) is a poet, translator, essayist and composer. He studied Letters/Translation at UFRGS, where did not graduate due to economic difficulties. In the 90s he was vocalist in the band 'Lex Tercia',published poems in anthologies and photocopied fanzines, as well as editing and publishing in the newspaper "Falares". Following studies as autodidact, he published in paper magazines and online, as Germina, Poesia Ibero-americana, Babel Poética, Gueto, InComunidade and Sibila.
