The oceans cover 70% of Earth's surface, and are almost entirely unexplored. Every sea and ocean on our planet is part of one, global Ocean. This Ocean is like the earth's circulatory system: it performs numerous vital functions which make the planet habitable and we cannot survive without it.
Earth is the only known planet with seas of liquid water on its surface. It is still unclear where Earth's water came from, but, seen from space, our planet appears as a "blue marble" of its various forms: oceans, ice caps, clouds ...all based on a rich ocean of life.
The average adult human body is 50-65% water content, thus a connection with the life we sustain from such. And as we take for granted that which is our Sea of life, so shall our lives wash away, upon the shorelines of time, and forever shall the cycle of life restore the sustainable medium we so take for granted...
