We used to live proudly, so proud of our glorious history.
We used to live happily, so happy to have such a beautiful and rich country.
We used to have the heart, a heart full of projects for our community.
We used to live thirsty, thirsty to discover the world and return back with eager to bettering our country.
-What happened with our polity?
-We caressed oblivion and became moving shadows, hiding from past time glory radiancy.
Losing faith in work religiously.
Starving for government support in beggary.
Witnessing numbingly the frustration of politicians trying to hijack a great and successful country.
For we swapped our natural sense of community for the abysses of individuality.
The present is almost non-existent. Just a glimpse between dawn and dusk that we bare to see.
-And the future?
-The future is taboo don’t you see?
-Who’s to blame then in this story?
-Every single individual is. We are all part of a matrix moved by good or evil ability.
In a chaotic environment where it’s a bliss to have as only project, today’s meal security,
if we don’t nurture the will to believe in the future and consign the keys to power to the righteous leadership, plans cannot come to fruition heavenly.
Oh God the Almighty! We ask your mercy!
Let us find the strength within our innards, to swallow anger, despair, disillusion and find the courage, to project and work for our common destiny.
No matter what, Algérie you’ll remain my beloved country.
