This next share is about a particular YouTube video, entitled:
'The 51st State - The singing bus driver'
I think old videos like these are utterly fantastic, for a few reasons. The first reason is how all of the cars looked back in the 1970's. The second reason is how much more some life was for every day people. No handheld devices, and the clothing style was also really kool to watch, as well. I was raised in the NY area for several years until I was 6, until my parents and I all moved to Plainsboro, NJ for a few years, and then on to Naples, FL and then on to Ft. Myers, a few years after that.
In looking into the past, whenever I watch any one of these old videos, I am reminded of a dimer time when I had parents who actually cared about me, and when I was well-taken care of... and of course, when I used to fly a few times a year.
One of the things which I really miss which I did when I was very little, was when my mother used to take me on the old orange and black Steinway Transit buses from Fresh Meadows, NY on occasions, but where she used to take me on the blue bus--exactly like the one pictured here, in this amazing, funny, and truly fascinating video. Lol... such fond memories, and I gotta tell ya... I thank God for my good memories. Because those of us who have them, will not have them, forever. Let us enjoy them while we still can, and while we still have a mind with which to enjoy them.
Anyway, this video hilights an overly cheery and comical bus driver who according to this video, always seems to have love, and a song in his heart.
Enjoy this video! Because, I watch it, all the time. Pmsl
