Immersion Manchester and Iceland Films /
Here's a trailer preview of footage from my Immersion Manchester and Iceland films, two of my biggest projects from the last year.
You can see the full films tonight as a large scale wall projection and later in the year we will be showing the films again in the full curved screen projection space that you see half way through this clip.
Tonight, 6-9 pm at our base in Federation house, Manchester, as part of Castlefield Gallery's New Art Spaces Federation OPEN HOUSE.
Here's a bit more about the project and this showing.
"Over the last year and a half digital artist Andrew Brooks Photography has been working with Curated Place and lighting designer Nick Malbon to create the Immersion installation. This almost 360 degrees projection space allows him to push the boundaries of photography and the viewing experience, putting the viewer into the heart of the picture and transporting them to new spaces and perspectives.
Exclusively for #NASOPENHOUSE we are showing two films we helped Brooks develop as part of our ongoing project to drive artists' work in new ambitious directions. The aim of Brooks' photography and film making is to create images that people connect to, feel they can step into and go on a journey from their everyday lives. Featuring compositions by Welsh composer Jack White.
Supported by Arts Council England, CG New Art Spaces and Aberdeen City Council.
