Chef-du-jour is another one of my initiatives for up & coming spiring chefs/cooks. Everyone knows that starting a restaurant/cafe is one of the riskiest business ventures. What with multi-year leases, utilities, staffing, advertising, equipment,..not to mention the perishable food-items.
And this is all for an individual who has got a bit of money to risk in that business venture. But what is a young or new chef to do other than working for years as a nobody before getting a chance to showcase their real talents & signature dishes?
Enter my initiative. I plan on showcasing at least one such passionate chef/cook every week to have his/her chance to prove his/her abilities.
They get to use our organic restaurants/cafes, complete with all the equipment, their very own menu, ingredients and prices. I will even provide them with staffing so that they can focus on their work :)
