Dealing with the military's "Readiness Department" for this overseas screening is insanely a pain in the dick. AND dealing with trying to get the right doctors and shiz lined up so that they can do all this paperwork.
MIND YOU, ALL THIS PAPERWORK COULD BE FILLED OUT BY MY CURRENT DOCTORS I WAS SEEING WITH MY OLD INSURANCE, AS THEY HAVE ALL THIS INFORMATION UP TO DATE.
But no, I gotta see a dentist before my 6 month appointment, get a vag check before my annual check is due. And all from new doctors who are impossible to get a hold of and get appointments for. The majority of the phone numbers people at various clinics give me for these specialists and doctor's offices turn out to be dead phone numbers. So that's fun, doubling back trying to get accurate information.
AND I was referred to a psychiatrist, but the phone number Tricare (THE INSURANCE COMPANY) gave me for a psychiatrist was actually a sleep center doctor. And then I call Tricare to get a proper psychiatrist and they did little more than a google search of my area and gave me some numbers. None of which are currently accepting Tricare patients. And I NEED a psychiatrist to fill out the "exceptional family member" form to complete my screening. Even the psychologist I was referred to can't see me until early to mid January, and all these screening forms are due before January. I had my current non-Tricare psychiatrist fill it out, and I'm hoping that'll be acceptable. But who the fuck knows.
HOW IS THIS NOT ROUTINE?! No one fucking knows anything. Not the military clinic, not the military hospital, not the military insurance company.
