About a month ago, the Animation Resources archive had a problem with a disk array that took 12 TB of data offline. Everything was backed up, so we built a new array from scratch, setting the sick one aside until we were sure all the data was safe. We completed rebuilding last week and attempted a repair of the sick array this week. It requires a complete reformat, but we were able to get it to boot and serve the files. We're double checking to make sure all of our backups are complete, then we'll reformat the sick array and use it as a double back up until we are sure it's trustworthy. Being the steward of nearly 100 TB of important data is a lot of work. If you would like to help us, please donate to help us buy more hard drives. Each one costs $150 and we are down to our last safety drive on the shelf. Every little bit helps! DONATE NOW! https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=RUELZVF8RGW8S
