This is perhaps my personal favourite. Halloween seemed appropriate to release this one... This is also one that should be viewed large on a big screen...
I was sitting at home monitoring different aurorasites waiting for something to happen. All of a sudden things exploded and i was still at home.
I drove like a madman, parked the car and literally jumped out, grabbed my gear and started running through the woods. I ran for 20 minutes, im pretty sure i passed a moose on my way...
When i got to this spot the activity had faded. There was nothing happening...
I decided to wait and passed the time with singing all kinds of songs. This is in the middle of nowhere so im pretty sure no one could hear me This continued for a couple of hours and it was getting really cold... Then suddenly things changed. A green band suddenly evolved into something completely different. Within minutes the sky was on fire! Coronas and rapid moving bands of green and purple.
I had my composition carefully set up in advance so i just had to capture the moments. I knew i had something special...
