MR IBSEN I PRESUME? - 2015/2018
This was not only the author Henrik Ibsen's travelogue from his journey to Egypt (during the opening of the Suez channel in 1869)., it was quite a travelogue for my article as well.
In 1998 I wrote an article in the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram Weekly. In 2006 the grand lady of theatre in Egypt translated that English article to Arabic. Then again a professor of literature in Mosul in Irak wrote this translated article, and suddenly he had to flee the country due to the situation - and he ended up in Norway. He wrote that book, and the publisher contacted me, both for information and for a digital watercolour I had of a marabou that Ibsen mention in his travelogue. The marabou ended on the cover of the book after I had made a sketch of Ibsen on it - and today the book came in the post (unfortunately only in Norwegian this time).
The original article I wrote in 1998 is here: Mr Ibsen I Presume?
