Effortlessly, master of the skies
In floating circles, soaring high.
Calmly hovering, air borne, free.
Searching, striking with sudden death.
Heedless of the storm or snow,
Or busy traffic in the street.
Unconcerned by ant-like men
Who scurry, busy, bound to earth.
I, like you, would soar above
And leave this tattered world of care.
Supreme assurance on the breeze
The mastery of self well known,
Untroubled by the ache of love
That leaves me helpless on the ground.
