Rafael Roncato (Indaiatuba, SP, Brazil, 1989) is a photographer and visual artist who lives and works in São Paulo. He holds a degree in Multimedia Journalism from FACAMP, Photography from the Pan American School of Art and post-graduate in Cinema, Video and Photography from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi and also from Photography at FAAP. He is currently researching and working in the field of photography, editorial production and video, as cinematographer for the Fluxo de Consciência webshow, presented by writer Ronaldo Bressane. His project Adágio, a nude of the transgender cartoonist Laerte Coutinho, has already participated in individual and collective shows, besides integrating the first original Netflix Brazilian documentary, Laerte-se, directed by Lygia Barbosa da Silva and Eliane Brum. He has photographed names like Laerte and Rafa Coutinho, Sasha Gray, Arto Lindsay, Cildo Meireles, Lourenço Mutarelli, Miguel Rio Branco, Liniers, Slum Village and Matt Schultz (Cage the Elephant). In 2016, he published his first photobook about emptiness, Sunyata, a result of his post-graduation at FAAP and winner of the artist's book prize of the 5th Latin American Autumn Fair.
