Ashly is a freelance illustrator and fine artist who works primarily with chalk pastel on BFK Rives paper.
"My goal for every illustration is to use the character's eyes to really engage the viewer. That is, by far, my favorite challenge. My work is of the horror and fantasy genre, often with a dark romanticism undertone and Pre-Raphaelite influence. Some of my favorite artists are Sam Wolfe Connelly, Rovina Cai, Sam Webber, along with George Pratt, my first Illustration teacher in college. His teaching influenced me tremendously.”
