Being atop a train car is one of my most favorite places to be. My grandfather passed away a little over a year ago. When I was 11 or so he gave me my first camera and growing up we spent many days locked away in his basement building a model railroad. Not to mention you could spit from his front door an hit the southern CSX train, the same train I took a long exposure of a few nights ago. My grandfather was a great man and gave me two of the most important passions in my life. Now every time I climb up a train car, catch that perfect timing of a train crossing or I hear some far off train whistle I can't help to smile and think of him. Any photo you see of a train is for him. Always will be.
