Making use of pareidolia to identify the form to be brought to light is often a way to avoid incurring the inconveniences caused by self awareness, relying instead on that primary memory for purposes not dissimilar from the original ones, aimed at distinguishing predators or hidden prey in the surrounding environment.
The intent is to produce a narrative that draws directly from the indefinite share of imagination present in every head, which can take place in any language and easily complete in the same eye, and be understandable to the extent that everyone decides.

With the ubiquitous digital image taking centre stage and the decline of the printed photograph, Charlie (a british artist based in Montpellier, France) presents the printed photograph as a thin receipt or a fossil…a half truth, a trace, possibly a clue to the past.
“I never liked photography,” Robert Mapplethorpe is quoted as saying, “Not for the sake of photography. I like the object. I like the photographs when you hold them in your hand.”

I’m an Adelaide based figurative artist, working with oil on linen. My painting practice centres around the contemporary female experience. In my work I explore female culture, drawing inspiration from contemporary media such as fashion, magazines, film, music, poetry and everything weird and wonderful I see around me.

Originally from Minnesota, with an accent to prove it, I have been painting, exhibiting, & selling my artwork in the US & abroad for over a decade, & have collectors in 14 countries. I called Chicago (where I attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago), Seattle & San Francisco home before realizing that big city life wasn't fulfilling me. In 2012 I moved to a wine growing region in Northern California. Corporate collections include The Liaison Capitol Hill, a Joie de Vivre Boutique Hotel of Washington, DC, and the MOXY downtown Seattle of Washington state.
