I began sharing copies of my drawings on my main blog-site (https://artchapenjoin.wordpress.com) to encourage myself to create a drawing or painting every day. Having been doing this for a few months, since April 2016, my site now includes some of my sketches, paintings and drawings I have done in the different countries I have had the pleasure of living in. I have been drawing and sketching since an early age, but the multitude of social media sharing sites has now given me a chance to share with and learn from other artists.
Michele Ashby PSA (@micheleashby)
For the past four years as a professional artist, I've specialised in contemporary realism with pastel as my medium of choice I particularly love it for its immediacy of application and versatility of finish. I have a penchant for chiaroscuro, contre-jour and en grisaille dramatic, lighting effects. I create paintings from dark to the light through the shadows. My techniques lend themselves to visual honesty arresting the viewer longer to ask questions. I want to express what I hold dear, a fleeting moment that touches the human heart as timeless through relationships and connections. I hope to evoke a sense of who I am as a person by painting those that I l

Troy Schooneman (@troyschooneman)
Opulent, timeless, and emotionally evocative are just some of the adjectives used to describe the beautiful fine art photography of Australian artist Troy Schooneman.
His intense, often melancholy, yet highly romantic portraits of young men from ethnically diverse backgrounds are frequently mistaken for paintings rather than contemporary fine art photographs. Schooneman’s portraits, which are influenced by many of the master painters and sculptors of the Renaissance, possess a timeless quality and are exquisitely sensual; luminous with rich, saturated colors and infused with an almost surreal painterly quality.

Maryam Gohar (@maryamgohar)
I am Maryam Gohar (a pseudo name I have made up of my real name “Maryam” and my Grandma’s “Gohar” (means gem) who was the very first unorthodox feminist I knew). I am a female artist currently residing in Iran. For many years I have been working as a children's book illustrator while having this more feminine and sensual part of my artistic-self hidden from the world. Being a woman artist in Iran and the nature of my works combined, made it harder to work in larger scales and I started with sketchbook pieces first. This enabled me to work on subjects near to my heart with less fear of exposure.

Rebekah Andrade (@rebekah_andrade)
Through re-imagined environments and composed structures, Rebekah's work explores the many definitions of the ideal form. Her interest lies in our ways of shifting and manipulating concrete and ambiguous elements within our inhabited environments. She draws inspiration from a negotiation process within the methods and boundaries of subject and medium. Within her minimalistic approach of transitioning layers, ambiguous lines and contrasting palette reside harmonious moments. As she rethinks her surroundings opportunities arise, allowing the work to become expressive, organically responding to both medium and subject matter.
