Thumbing my nose at old man winter by firing up the kiln today. Nothing heats up the studio faster than whipping open a 1500+ degree kiln for a quick cool down! Obviously not something I'm thrilled to be doing in July, but somehow today seems like a good day.
I used to make some very popular smooth "sea glass" hardware (<--note the quotation marks: No, this is not 'found' glass!). Then (as usual) the supplies became unavailable and I reluctantly gave up looking for replacements after a year or so. Fast forward to today: I'm trying again to make something similar, since they were kind of fun and people seem to like them. And hopefully I've figured out a way to do it.
