"Music is just a hobby of mine."
When I was younger, I was oblivious to the marvelous, beautiful, and absolutely spectacular miracle in which this world refers to as music. When someone mentioned the word, the only thing that came to mind was the loud noises projected by the media on my parents' car radio. I never knew the true beauty that lies beneath the world's artificial perfection until I experienced it first-hand.
I began writing music when I was thirteen, because, with the help of my closest friends, I discovered that I, too, had a voice. When I write, it's the strangest feeling. It's as if I already know every word, and my heart is just trying to find the right puzzle pieces to fit it. It feels freeing sometimes, but it always felt like it was just a small part of me. I feel like that's because music is just a piece of all of us, and we all need it to survive.
Music is where we express our emotions, whether them be sad, goofy, happy, in love, or poetic. Without music, words would be without greater feeling, memories would be without a soft foundation, and sorrow would never be resolved. What I've discovered is that I have the power to create such a beautiful thing, and that makes me both happy and curious as of who I can reach.
