I would like to take the most of this post to answer to a comment that I received from @ellomancer (Here and here)
In short, he accused me of « stealing » the idea of the « Magic Ello Ball » from him.
First of all, I consider this kind of accusation - so vehement and without discussion - offensive and above all incorrect. To be perfectly clear, I understand the prejudice that plagiarism can make, and this is the reason why I carefully edit my credits every time.
Concerning @ellomancer, I want to say, in good faith, that I had no idea that your profil existed until now. I spend quite a few time on Ello, but I don’t know everybody on it :)
It seems that we got similar ideas, the "Ello Ball", so obvious as to not think of it.
Lot of people has same ideas, it is not rare, it is not grave (as you seem to think), but what is important is what you do with this idea and how you exploit it.
« Bref », I want to take advantage of this controversy and this post to present in more detail the Magic Ello Ball application and how it occurred to me:
A few days ago, @cacheflowe posted two gifs « Ello approve » and « Ello disapprove » that I found very interesting. I remembered another animated gif of @bigpoppae in which the logo spined around, very amusing too. Based on that, I wanted to mix that two, to create something else. The Ello logo looks like the very popular Magic 8 ball. Here is how the « Magic Ello Ball » has been imagined.
That all, so please: @mtvinthe1990s and @ellomancer stop to harass me.
