Beth Gatza is an artist and art teacher who lives & works in Los Angeles, California. She earned her BA from Southern Illinois University where she majored in cinematography, and minored in fine arts. Beth teaches at Sierra Canyon School and has previously worked as an Art Director and Production Designer in independent film. Beth’s work spans many disciplines including painting, set design, film production and editing, mural/backdrops, sculpture, children's books and graphic novels.

‘Harmony’ is a series that focuses on how the uniqueness of the individual connects to the greater whole of our world community, similar to the connection of one flower to an entire garden. In these oil paintings, Beth Gatza arranges the portraits of individuals upon a garden landscape which symbolically reflects attributes of their personality or origin of ancestry.
