A Raleigh I can get behind.
3 Hot models that break some molds.
Holy Jesus! That is exactly what I thought when I saw the new Clubman offered from Raleigh USA. Carbon frame, fender mounts, disc brakes OH MY! This thing is super sweet and I'm looking forward to a test ride as soon as I find one in the area. I will say its a bit high(MSRP $2399-on sale for $1999) for a Tiagra equipped bike but it has so much to offer I can almost over look it. Like those color matched fenders holy shit they make me weak in the knees. The Clubman Carbon is a high end production city bike that looks like it can soak up the miles. Comes with one of my favorite tires the Clement LGG and I'll even forgive them for going 60tpi just so you can get that Skinwall hotness.
But Wait There is More! Grand Vitesse!
Reynolds 853 steel tubing, carbon fork, tapered steerer, Shimano Ultegra and room for 32c tires. After that description really what more do you need to know? Well the Grand Vitesse comes in at $2399 and that isn't a bad deal when you compare it to the new All-City Mr. Pink that comes in at $2200 with SRAM Rival. It's basically $200 upgrade to Ultegra that includes a Brooks saddle and some more sweet clement tires(Honestly their tires are so choice). I even appreciate that this doesn't come in a knock off of Team Motorola colors.
And Something For the Ladies. The Super Course
The Raleigh Super Course is a model that has been known as the entry into racing model and its now a women specific frame in a tasteful mint green, blue and sky. Think of this are your first quality bike. It comes with Shimano Claris and custom butted 4130 crumbly steel with geometry specific for ladies. Again it come with Clement tires(28c) and has rack mounting hardware. Price, $899 right now so you save a hundred on it for the time being. Just to put it in perspective at retail the saddle bar wrap and tires are 1/5 of the MSRP and this still has a lot of room for upgrade and personalization.
