Ben Leeds Carson (@bencarson)
I teach music composition, music analysis, popular culture, cultural histories of music listening, and history of music theory, at UC Santa Cruz. My music is available on a few labels including Centaur and Albany Records, and on most streaming services; my writing is published in Journal of New Music Research, ECHO, the American Journal of Psychology, and elsewhere. By the time I was 11, I had seen 48 states; and saw the last two before age 20. My great-grandmother was an ambulance driver in World War I.
