This is the second time I've been on @Ello and this time I enjoy it a lot more, but there's this odd thing I've been noticing. This is a platform/community for artists - but most artists (of any kind) seems to have a a really hard time to actually following other artists, or in some other way interact with colleagues - with loves or comments or shares or whatever. As a creator myself, not just writing texts here, I find that very, very strange.
I know we all have egos, nothing to be ashamed of, and we all like when we're appreciated - but why not appreciate back? I bet the feedback in form of reactions from other artists and fans would be even greater than it is now. I generally always follow back (and as you can see I really don't care THAT much of someone won't follow back, I'm only annoyed when someone unfollows - gotta be honest!), and I'm better follwing than commenting or clicking on that heart, but I'm doing my best to be a supportive co-creator.
It must be a very empty life sitting there posting your texts and art without caring about fellow artists, sharing is caring as the old worn-out saying proclaims. So go out there and follow people, comment sometime, click that damn heart from time to time. But be there, be here.
Be aware that you're not the only one fighting for your existence in this white digital void of lonely souls and creative minds.
