When summer starts turning to autumn, I love heading to the beach... less people, less noise, more peace with the water, more fun with the dogs. We spent a lot of time there this weekend and got inspired to create the Drops of Aegir earrings, names after the Norse king of the sea. Sailors both loved and feared him, often making elaborate sacrifices to him. Fifth-century Saxons often sacrificed a tenth of their captured victims to Aegir when they were ready to leave a conquered land over the sea.
These earrings feature 2 vintage sterling silver Navajo pearls from the 1970s and purple spiny oyster beads. This "stone of the sea" carries the energies of water, comfort and peace of mind from the dark depths of the sea, and a sense of knowledge and patience from the rhythm of the tides.
