unaccompanied / A page from Teller handmade magazine/ woodprint on press paper 55gr / 42x70cm
This drawing is the bird eye view of the journey of the unaccompanied kids during polemic times on Libyan sea.
My interest in the Arts follows the material traces of social mythologies, cultural beliefs such as the incorporation of elements and narratives and the conflicts they cause or perpetuate. I am interested in parallels and pluralities which challenge the geographic order. Videos, drawings, prints or sculptures are assemblages of disparate impressions that are put together from my broad thematic research. Sometimes odd and complex, other times violent and obvious as in performances and they seem like material traces from another time – thereby creating temporal convergences without losing sight of the political present.
