That isn't much different than when we are at home though. Lightweights!Day one was kind of a bust. Not completely, but we were set back a good 3 hours. Construction on the highway for over 100 miles and two really bad wrecks. We didn't get to eat at the place we wanted because it was closed by the time we got there, but I think we will be able to hit it on the way back. And we didn't make it to Little Rock until after midnight, but we made it so that counts.Today went just as planned. Mom is a happy camper. The Grand Ole Opry was everything I expected. And not only did the little one not get fussy even though it was past bed time, he LOVED it! He loves music of all kinds and has quite the lyric collection in his head, but I was unsure of how he would handle that many people and the volume of everything. His favorite part was the clapping every 10 minutes, which was super cute. He even yelled out several "woohoo's" and we danced a little in our chairs. That little boy definitely has my !Ha! I even tried to wear black heels with my jeans. I made it to the car, not even out of the parking lot. The heels got left in the floor board and my flip flops came out of my purse and onto my feet! Win/Fail...depends how you look at it. Maybe the boy will sleep past 6:30am tomorrow...that would be great. It didn't happen this morning and since I am a light sleeper (and I am pretty sure someone else pretends to be asleep when he really isn't) it made for a bit of a grumpy morning. Not to worry, I got over myself and so did everyone else. And now I will finish my PBR (no Lone Star outside of the Lone Star State that I can find conveniently ) and go crawl into the super comfy bed that 100's of others have slept in...and probably fucked on. Tomorrow will include more driving and then two days of water fun before we head to DC. If at least 80% of the rest of the trip goes as planned, it will be a success. And I will definitely find an alternate route home(even if it is a little out of the way)...fuck all that traffic!
