I was born in a magical Island in Brazil. My city is small and full of superstition and mystic creatures. I feel like everyone is so special here, but since our politics are very corrupted, every time I make art and expose my though I feel like I resist different kinds of oppression. This series of drawings talks about some mystical female beings that live inside of me. To compose them, I used both laser impression and mixed media techniques. They are strong, colorful, intelligent, fearless females. They are Hypatias (like the Greek philosopher in Egypt) of the unconscious, but real beings inside every woman who stand up for their rights. Women that transcend and point directions to whoever cross their lives.
