Today is the day I begin editing and preparing my first novel for release. The book's current title is Aperture, which I am planning on changing. It's been six weeks since I finished the first draft, and it's time to dig back in. I'm a little scared, but very excited.
I love creating plans and lists of things to do, and here's my timeline. My goal is to release it by the end of July. It may take longer, but that sound reasonable for now.
Next up is to determine a rough budget for the project and start saving up for it. I'll share where that ends up too, as well as everything else I long along the way on this wild ride.
What's your best advice for someone starting the editing process? And do you have any recommendations for editors and proofreaders?
Actually releasing the book is starting to feel more real every day.
