I just watched Are We There Yet? with my son this morning (don't ask why).
Never mind the fact that Ice Cube softened up for the role and people never let him forgive that. Let's talk about the moral of the story from a kid perspective:
A.) It's ok to play practical jokes on truck drivers causing them to potentially ruin their career. Said truck driver may even try to save you but it's totally ok to assault him and force him to crash. He will be ok with it in the end.
B.) Asthma inhalers can be stored in toys. When you get older you can probably hide your stash there.
C.) Never hesitate to fight other kids at New Years parties for fun. Also, the clown can get you pharmaceuticals if you cover him.
D.) Deer are violent but only if they are a flash.
E.) Hopping trains is ok.
F.) Your mom will ultimately change her mind in a heartbeat about the guy who lugged your asses into Canada after she more or less told him to piss off. This of course is because you approve of him. Never mind the fact that he just was arrested and his brand new Navigator was torched, he still has the hots for your mom.
G.) Always know that fat guys who drive ad trucks are more than willing to chase down semi-trucks upon request and when they crash, they will take it very personally that they could not help.
H.) Little kids can totally drive and laugh about it.
I.) Always carry a zippo.
J.) Putting weapons in other people's pockets at the airport is hilarious.
K.) In the end, you are loved. Even if you have just been a complete asshole to some nice guy who graciously transported your ass to you mom even though initially he did not want to.
