This tune holds a special place in my heart.....
We were monster fans of the "Pink Finks" as we used to call them and followed them obsessively to all their London gigs and Free Festival spots.
I'll tell you what set them apart from their contemporaries,simply put they were a living breathing embodiment of the "counter culture."
They lived in Squats and slept on any floor they could find....we were the same!!
It's funny how distant some of today's bands are from their fans,The Pink Fairies were the polar opposite.
I can remember in 1973 dancing on stage with my wife to be while they performed....it was at a gig in the original building that was Kensington Town Hall in London....moronic developers knocked it down.
The band encouraged fans and friends to get up on stage and dance with them while they played live....you had to be there to truly understand the vibe.
No them and us just US!!!!!
