Vive la revolution!
I have deleted my Facebook account in solidarity with my bipedal brothers and sisters in the wake of the #mynameis controversy. I, for one, have three legal names on my AKC registration, but like some other greats like Cher, Madonna, Bono, Liberace, and P!nk, I prefer Bubba.
Does this mean I have a lack of integrity as Zuckerberg suggests? Why, not at all. I'm a supportive brother to my sister Chynna, another single-monikered wonder, who's on her way to a grand championship. I'm an ambassador for French Bulldog Village, oh, and I'm a service animal, too. I think I'm a pretty well-rounded guy.
So why the big hubbub? (See what I did there?) Aside from Zuckie just being a control freak, I think he's picking on our LGBT community and the backlash is HUGE. This affects artists, actors, and performers, but more importantly, is another group he probably never even considered because he doesn't think about anyone but himself. Let's talk about victims for a minute.
As sad as it is, there are rape victims, domestic abuse victims, victims of gang violence, and witnesses to crimes. And guess what? There are people associated with them too. Should they not be allowed to use social media sites? Most of these people are scared to go out of their house and this is their only contact with people. Sure Zuckie, let's just oust everybody and make it a free-for-all!
So to @ello, we say thank you. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication and many hours it's taken to bring us an alternative. One ring should not rule them all.
