like the umbilical cord to the placenta,
an unborn baby subjugated to the limitations of space,
dependent on the nutrients.
Rules and regulations of laws placed down upon Her people,
are unjust, unreasonable, out of order.
The pressure and weight of the placenta closing in
on the child is unbearable.
The day of birth has come,
and soon a new light will shine on the world.
But as the months go by, the infant moves ever so slightly away,
constantly getting farther and farther from Her.
She knows this,
She can feel it,
but no matter how hard She tries the baby goes
beyond those small corners within Her,
and breaks free of Her grasp, into a new utopia of freedom and wonder.
She sits alone; waiting.
Waiting for the day Her baby will return,
only hoping for the forgiveness She so rightfully deserves.
