My name is Budiyono (also known as Budiyono Kampret). I'm a Javanese artist from Indonesia.
In fact I prefer the the expression “seniman”, more than as artist, which is a way of life – a way to feel, think, be happy and satisfied. In fact, everybody can be a seniman.

Since 2011 I have been making charcoal from tropical plants to create my works. Inspired by culture and tradition, my art takes references from the sculptures, reliefs and temples of Indonesia.
