Yesterday we added the ability to push posts out to other networks from Ello (if you know anyone that still uses them).
Click the little arrow symbol under a post you like (unless that user's account is marked private) and you'll be able to repost it to another network.
There was a big debate among Ello's founders about this function, and whether we should have it at all. Some of us (me included) don't use anything except Ello any more. It's kind of fun feeling like we're in our own world over here and to forget about the things going on outside.
On the other hand, we've have had many requests from Ello users for this function — especially from people who want to make Ello the central place for all their online activity, and need to post out to friends and followers who are still using other networks.
In the end we decided to go for it and see what happens.
What do you think?
PS: Ello has internal reposting coming soon (you will be able repost posts you like within Ello). We're doing it in an new way that will limit the clutter that can come with reposting, which is why it's taking a little while to finish.
