GO SLOW ON A FAST BIKE.
Just because you can ride fast doesn’t mean you always have to.
I’ve begun slowing down on my ride home from work. Riding a bicycle doesn’t have to be a workout, and there’s no need to always take the direct route home.
I enjoy the scenery, and stop from time to time to take a few pictures. Occasionally a spandex-clad fellow speeds past me, but it never seems like he’s having as much fun focused on his cycling computer.
Nevertheless, it’s nice to know my Model No.1 is ready for speed when I want it. Lightweight titanium, a nearly frictionless belt drive, and race-quality components make Budnitz Bicycles among fastest and lightest city bikes in the world.
And yeah, sometimes I feel the urge to give chase. I take a deep breath, switch gears — and slow down a little more.
Summer is here, and I’m enjoying every minute of it.
