We built the new 2014 Budnitz MTN around one principle: the world’s greatest mountain bike ought be tough, light, fast — and simple.
Why spend time fiddling with unnecessary, awkward gear when you could be tearing up the singletrack, smoking your friends on fast corners and steep climbs.
We’re not alone at being happy with the result. Wolfpack called the Budnitz MTN “the most responsive, nimble, and comfortable hardtail we’ve ever ridden”. Culture Cycles wrote that the smooth ride is “nothing short of magic”.
Available titanium 3.6-pound twin-tube cantilever frame flexes to absorb trail shock, while providing lateral stiffness for speed and sharp handling. Titanium will never rust, and won’t crack or degrade in sunlight like carbon.
The silent carbon belt drive is water and mud-proof, weighs under 80g and is nearly indestructible.
Mid-size 650B (27.5-inch) wheels and Schwalbe Racing Ralph tires power over rocks and logs without sacrificing tight cornering.
Each MTN comes standard with race quality components, internal cable routing, titanium riser bars, stem, and seatpost. Up to 14-speeds in a Rohloff internal transmission. Your choice of titanium or classic cro-moly steel frame.
Built by hand, in limited quantities.
Starting at $2590.
