I am an illustrator from Ireland. My work examines issues of environmentalism, social politics and identity, with influences from popular science and natural history. Under the name the Curious Finch, I explore these themes in a more playful form, using traditionally drawn and digitally colored illustrations. My visual inspiration is rooted in story-telling from a deep love of animation, comics and fairy tales.
The fist image shared here, titled "Beyond an Unremarkable Place, was inspired by Stephen Hawking's description of a black hole's event horizon as an "unremarkable place".
