After briefly reading my manual I got to snapping with my camera.
I had to look up how to use my focus points. Didn't know that the auto focus automatically picks the closest thing to focus on. Also didn't know how to pick my focus spot manually. And the manual didn't care to tell me.
Anywho, here is what I got last night. These are the ones I picked through. Already deleted the bad stuff. I wont always do that though because in the future I want to show bad pictures and how I made them better.
Best picture of my dog, to date. Hi handsome! Got a decent blur to the background. I'd have liked it to be a little more sharp around the eyes but eh. Also, I do like the yellow tint to this light. My bedroom light is baaaad.
As I said, I was having trouble with my focus, but I think I got this image pretty good. Had to turn on my flash manually, and I like how that worked. I don't love the shadow under the bowl but, it's not too bad. Getting hungry, now I want one of these home made strawberry shortcakes for breakfast! Resisting that urge...
Hey! I thought this would be a fun image. My dog is super submissive to this toy because he got in major trouble for chewing the foot up a few months ago. Love how the focus worked out, dogs back legs are super blurry but Luigi is clear.
My room has some challenging light but my goal is to be able to take great photos in any light.
I'll be shooting today but I'm not sure if I'll get outside, its terribly windy!
P.S. Yay for the first day with my new camera! No complaints!
