Ello development update, Dec 22, 2014
It's snowing like crazy here in Denver and we just launched some updates that address a slew of backend bugs and optimizations. Most noticeably to you, however, are a couple of new buttons and upgrades to the commenting system.
First and foremost, you'll notice a new Reply All button just underneath an active comment box. When you click this, the usernames of the original poster, @ mentions in their post, and everybody who's commented will be added to your comment. This is a quick way to respond to others, and I advise you to only mention people who you'd like to receive a notification.
Secondly, the existing Reply button found on each comment will now append a username rather than replace the content in your active comment box. This lets you respond to multiple specific users with ease. The Reply button will also now grab any other @ mentions in the comment that you're replying to and append those as well. Remember, you can always drag another user's avatar into a comment or post to give them a shoutout.
Lastly, there's also a new Cancel button on an active comment box, in case you've decided to bail on posting a comment.
Let us know what you think - we hope these new tools will help you interact with your fEllowers a little more easily
Happy Holidays, and stay warm out there
